Everyday clear Scotch tape
The two prominent Scotch Brand tapes for everyday use are available in green and red tartan, or plaid, packaging. The difference between the two is the coating on the front side of their hot-melt adhesive backing. Green plaid Scotch Magic tape has a frosted coating, so you can write on its surface in pen and highlighter without smudging or smearing the ink. Red-plaid clear tape has a glossy surface that is invisible when applied.
While both are types of transparent tape and have the same applications, such as mending tears, mounting documents and photos, and sealing gifts, the red-plaid transparent tape is also available as Scotch Brand Book Tape, for repairing, reinforcing, or protecting the spines, covers, and pages of books and other bound paper documents. Red-plaid tape is also available with Super-Hold adhesive, 50 percent stronger than the regular clear red-plaid tape, ideal for sealing small confidential packages, mending more severe paper or material damage, or mounting lightweight arts and crafts.
Both green and red clear Scotch tape come in individual rolls or with integrated dispensers while also fitting several standard desktop tape dispensers. Everyday clear tape is available with either 1- or 3-inch cores, containing tape from 12 to 72 feet long. The tape is available in three primary widths, including 0.5, 0.7, and 1 inch, each available in several bulk packages to fit any budget.
Packing, shipping, moving, and storage tape
One of the key product groups of the entire family of tape consists of adhesives for sealing and securing packages, boxes, and containers that businesses need to ship, move, or store. Other specialty tapes in addition to Scotch Magic tape
Besides the green and red tartan packaging of Scotch Brand transparent and Magic tape, products are available in both blue- and yellow-plaid containers, also with their own dispensers. The blue tartan package contains Removable tape, an invisible tape with a hand-writeable matte finish that you can stick and restick to paper, ideal for design layouts in fashion, architecture, or engineering. The yellow-plaid packaging contains Double-Sided tape for both business and home use, whether for project work or arts and crafts applications. Scotch Brand tape for hands-on work tasks
