The line of HP OfficeJet Pro printers includes several all-in-one models that provide full scan, fax, copy, and printing functions in one machine. Models in the OfficeJet Pro 6900 series contain four separate ink cartridges, consisting of fade-resistant black, cyan, magenta, and yellow ink. HP OfficeJet Pro 6960 ink is formulated specifically for five models in HP’s 6900 line, including the 6954, 6960, 6968, 6975, and 6978. Each model is designed for small-business, home-office, and work group printing and reproduction applications, for text, images, and photographs. HP OfficeJet Pro 6960 ink cartridges print on all types of inkjet printer paper, whether multifunction copy and print paper or high-quality matte and glossy photo paper.
HP OfficeJet Pro 6960 ink cartridges provide consistent results
The black and color inkjet printer ink for the 6960 cartridges, types 902 and 906, consists solely of powder-based pigments without colorants. The fastness of the ink on paper provides long-lasting, fade-resistant text and images, with consistent output clarity and color tones throughout the use of the cartridge. Like all HP printer ink cartridges, those for the OfficeJet Pro 6900 series are designed to work in conjunction with the specific capabilities of the printer. OfficeJet Pro 6900 models have drop-on-demand HP printer cartridges that work with thermal inkjet printheads for consistent black and color resolutions of 600 x 1200 dpi. The cartridges can support print speeds of up to 18 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color, as well as copy speeds of 30 cpm in black and 24 cpm in color for draft-version reproductions.
High-yield cartridges available with HP 6960 ink
Not only are high-yield, XL ink cartridges available for OfficeJet Pro 6900 models in addition to standard-yield cartridges, but two different XL volume cartridges in black are available as well. The following are the volume yields from the five different cartridges:
- XL black in the higher volume count can produce up to 1,500 pages per cartridge
- XL black in the lower-volume count can yield up to 825 pages per cartridge
- XL cyan, magenta, and yellow can also yield up to 825 pages per cartridge
- Standard-yield black and standard yield C/M/Y can produce up to 315 pages per cartridge
